Internal Hernia?

I had a CT scan this past Friday, the 3rd. Dr is looking for an internal hernia.....anyone else have this problem? If so, what are you doing for it?

I think I may have a hernia. What are your symptoms? I go for my 1 yr check up on July 5.........I am 11 mos tomorrow lap rny. My belly hurts to left of my belly button when I bend over, pick up something, cough or do anythin ab wise at the gym. Even sometimes just sitting is painful. I am wondering if I have a hernia. Why did you have a CT scan..........what were you feeling or was this something routine? Michelle

hey Michelle.....when I went in for a check up I told Dr. I was having dry heaves alot at night. I wake up wanting to throw up and nothing comes out but white foam. I never throw up any food. It mostly hits me at night but sometimes during the day. He set me up with a CT scan so they could look at my stomach and intestines. He told me somethimes when patients loose alot of weight guickly they can get a hernia. I don't really know the other symptoms of one, but your pain could be that same thing. Let your Dr. know and keep me posted........good luck

I have an incisional hernia, pretty high up on my scar. Doesn't bother me much unless I try to carry something heavy. I was hoping I'd luck out and not get a hernia since they repaired a huge one on the day of my WLS. As my surgeon told me, it would just be one more reason I'd have no problems getting my PS approved. ~Tanja
