I can't eat meat - it's been 10 months... any suggestions??

I have lost 95 lbs... I can't eat any meat, or much anything else. I still don't want to eat anything at all. I live off sf jello, soup, sf cookies and cheezies. I try to get 2 shakes a day... but it doesn't always happen. Any suggestions??? Patricia Huffman 7/14/04 Lost 95lbs

Wow Crystal, that is not good. First of all, have you been seeing your doctor and telling him this? Have you seen a nutritionist? I don't know why you haven't been able to incorporate more things into your diet and tolerate them, but I do feel confident that there is no way you are meeting any of your nutritional needs. If you haven't seen a nutritional specialist recently, you should find one, preferrably one who has worked with wls patients before. I agree with Ileana - call your doctor and tell him you are having these problems. What is the reason that you can't eat? Can you eat eggs or cheese or veggies? There are certain meats that I have trouble with - denser meats like tuna or salmon - I have to eat these with some sort of sauce. Have you tried lean ground turkey? I'm confused.... I copied this from your personal page: I am 24 and have my surgery scheduled for April 27th. I am very excited and can't wait to start dropping some lbs. ** 5/25/05** I am 28 days post op and have lost 25 lbs. I recovered within a few days of my surgery and was back to my 'normal' self within a week post-op. I am now eating anything I want, but having a hard time drinking the protein shakes. ****** So, are you 10 months out or 10 weeks out? It's OK to visit here (July'04) and ask questions if you didn't have your surgery in July. It just seems like accurate information would give a more accurate response. **Just tryin' to help. **wink** Diana
