Easter Day Challenge Update
I'm late getting on the bandwagon, but I'm starting the challenge today.
I'm starting at 270 and plan to be 260 by Easter. I'd really like to say 250, but I have been on a plateau and am just now starting to lose again, so I plan on another plateau at about 260--seems to be my rhythm.

Can i get in on this to? Or am i to late? any way if so i last weighed on thursday (the last day i worked) and i was 183lbs i would like to be 170lbs by easter. I will weigh today and get back here and post. So as of now i have to lose 13lbs by easter! I am a slow loser surgery on 7/31/04 have lost 88lbs so far but i feel like i have lost tons more because i feel so healthy! well good luck everyone! Denice
Well, I exercised like a demon this week, only to stay stuck for most of it. I really don't understand how this works. I think my body doesn't like to give up weight. Basically I lose the same no matter how much I exercise, but I'm sticking with the workouts all the same! My grand total is -1lb. We'll see how the next week goes.

I started off great! Lost 3 lbs during the week ~ then I got on the scale this morning and I had gained back 2!! Guess my long birthday weekend caught up with me!! Well, it's a good excuse to get back on track!
Starting weight: 183
Weight today: 182
Need to lose: 9 lbs.

I joined the challenge at 223lbs with the goal of 210 or -13lbs. I am now teetering on 220 so I have lost 3lbs which means I need to lose 10 more. I leave for vacation Sat. to San Diego for a week but I rented a beach condo so I should do ok as I will/should eat most meals there but I had planned on doing alot of beach walking but with the storms there who knows. Maybe it will become sunny Calif by the time we get there!!!

I'm focusing on the positive to start with. I exercised, ate some fruit, got my water in, took my vitamins....wish I had more positive stuff to report. Oh, I'm exercising tonight, too, so that's a positive.
Now for the bad news. I ate 1 1/2 hot dog buns with butter and garlic salt (like garlic toast) after eating a normal healthy dinner. The hot dog buns are left over from the superbowl party we had. I have issues with throwing food out--I just can't do it. So, I am compelled to eat stuff before it goes bad. Anyhow, it made me too full (this is a good thing, as this doesn't happen to me very often at all) and I "expelled" some of the contents of my stomach. My weight is down ~1/2 a pound, which is good for me. I seem to be losing ~3 pounds/month.
So, I'm OK. I need to watch that bad habit of eating until it's gone. And, I really shouldn't be eating bread at all, anyhow. We have one more package of hot dog buns left. I'm going to try to tos them out this week.

I'm stuck at 150 and it's driving me crazy. Me plan of attack this week is to kick it up a notch a the gym and see if that doesn't get me over the hump! I'm traveling to Phoenix over the weekend and I actually do better when I travel - usually come home down a pound or two so let's hope that helps too. I also am cutting out all processed carbs this week to see if that doesn't help some too.
