do any of you ever feel like you've gained weight? i do, i had surgery on july 26, and my last visit to the dr. was on dec.16, at which time i had lost 84lbs....the problem is, some days i feel like i'm gaining weight, i even look in the mirror and i look bigger to me also. i got on a scale yesterday and it said i weighed the same thing as i did when i went to the dr. on dec.16, so i havent gained anything, but then again i havent lost anything either.....but can i trust the scale infront of walmart?.....i probably feel that way, because sometimes i can eat alot more then i use to. i dont know, but i reallly wish i could forsee the future.....i really hope i reach my goal

Hey Beverly, I think that is awesome that you have lost 84lbs in less than 6months.I feel like I've gained weight sometimes. I want to lose really fast like some I read about. I had surgery 7/12/04 and I'm down 86lbs.Somedays I eat more than others and I'm hungry more, that scares me. I took in more protien today and I'm starting to excercise more. Hang in there we will make it to our goal weight! God Bless You Stacy

The same thing happens to me sometimes. My face will look puffy, my body will feel puffy, and voila, I either weigh the same or have actually lost a pound or two. I wonder if it has something to do with how our bodies adjust to the weight loss, like maybe the remaining flab has to rearrange itself. My dietician told me today that often, we will lose several pounds in a week, and then nothing for two or three weeks, and then lose several more. So if that's what you're experiencing, I'd say that you're probably pretty normal. If it really starts to bother you, give your dietician a call...maybe she can offer some suggestions to beat these mini-stalls that you are having. Mine said to lift weights more regularly...Ugh... I can usually tell if I've gained by: 1 - I know I haven't been doing what I'm supposed to, and 2 - I can feel it in the way my clothes fit Do you have a scale at home? If not, why don't you get one and the next time you weigh in at the doctor's office, weigh yourself at home and see how that matches up. Lots of people don't deal with scales, but for me, I like the fact that I always know in which direction I'm heading!! I think we all occasionally have the fear that we won't lose as much as we want, but try and take it a day at a time. You've lost 84 lbs. in less than six months, that's impressive!! Hugs, Nancy -87
