I started off at 277 lbs. and I'm at 193 lbs. today - a total of 84 lbs. gone!!!
I've had my ups and downs, but I think I am learning to know my triggers (sugar, carbs) which can easily get me out of control, so I'm hoping to leave those things behind!! I also have a new found appreciation for walking and exercise - this old couch potato actually looks forward to it!!
Hugs and Happy New Year!

Hello all my fellow July babies! My starting weight was 364 pounds, as of Deember 27th I weighed in at 263! Thats a loss of 101 pounds in 5 months!! I have another 100 pounds to go to get to goal. I am joining in the Discovery Health.com body challenge and hope that will be a big boost to my remaining weight loss.
Happy weight loss everyone! You are all doing fantastic!

I am going to work on the exercise-since I stopped taking Bextra because of the concerns, the pain in my knee, hips and back have been keeping me from walking too much, also the weather. I am taking Tylenol Arthritis formula now and am looking for a place nearby where I can walk indoors. I wish I lived in Waterford, I'd walk in the mall! Anyone have ideas of where I can walk indoors in the Norwich area, let me know!
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL....it really feels GREAT doesn't it???!!!!

Ann, why not try the Leslie Sansone Walk Away the Pounds program? I have three VCR tapes (you can also get DVDs) in 1, 2 and 3 mile walks. During the program there is a person who does low impact, and you can follow her if the regular program is too much. It is basically walking in place. The 1 mile takes around 20 minutes, the 2 mile 30 minutes, and it goes by very quickly. I haven't done the 3 mile yet, but that is my next goal. With the cold weather upon us, my regular outside walking routine is never a sure thing, so I'm glad I have the tapes for back up.
Hugs,
Nancy
