Scars?

Yep, my scars are pink/red in color still but getting lighter. I have one heck of a scar, I had open RNY. I had an exploratory surgury in the same spot so my surgeon went alongside the old scar instead of down the middle of it so my scar is pretty wide. I don't care, I'm just so happy to be losing weight! Sharon

I have 9 scars about a half inch raised and red they seem to be getting better every day. I have one in the middle that goes in so my dh calls it my second belly button and boy it looks like one. Im hoping when I get down to goal it wont look that way. Kathy

Too funny. I have a second belly button too. For some reason the bottom of my scar goes in. I can make it really deep if I suck those muscles in and tighten them up. As I loose weight it seems to be getting less and less. Heather

I have that too. 2 scars are no bigger than bug bites, 3 are about 3/4 inch to a half inch long across my abdomin -- a little red and raised, but nothing that I worry about Kristy B 306/248/165

Hi Alice, I had my surgery done LAP, so I have 7 scars. 2 are about 1/2 inch and 5 are about 1 inch. Two of the 1 inch scars are redder then the others. I've been putting the generic of Medaderma on it every day, when I get out of the shower. While they are still a little red, I think they look lighter then they would have. I've seen a difference! My scar is exactly 12 inches long (do you think he used a ruler?) and is still kind of bright pink in some spots, lighter pink in others. I can still see where the staples were, and I have a nice pink round spot where my drain lived for over a month. I've been using shea butter almost everyday and I think it's helping. I'm hoping it eventually lightens considerably, but I've always scarred easily, so who knows!? Kelle
