Numbness

How many of you were left with at least some amount of numb area around your surgery point. I figure this is less likely with lap, but possible. I have about 2 inches on one side of my scar that is completely numb. It doesn't bother me. But, it is kind of weird. Hat Open RNY (256->203.5->150)

I don't have numbness on this surgery scar, but I had knee surgery about 15 years ago and there is still an area that is numb. Usually nerves regenerate, but not always. However, my scar is really UGLY!! The incision line healed over and is thick and raised about 1/8 of an inch!! FRANKENSTEIN BELLY!! The surgeon said I create lots of scar tissue which is most likely why I had the stricture that had healed up so well the gastro guy couldn't even find it with the endoscope!! Hopefully, the nerves will heal up and you won't have that numb spot anymore. Hugs, Nancy -50
