What are you eating?
Story of my past 6 weeks is posted by some people in here...I have had nausea on and off since the 15th of July when I had surgery...Some days I do great with food (including getting 60grams of protein and 64 ounces of water) and some days - I just can't do it....
I have no appetite generally - but have found if I eat breakfast - I tend to do better over the rest of the day with eating. Not sure why- thinking maybe it stimulates something....
As for protein - I am going to do what I can and that is all I can do - I have found a protein powder (Unisure - I think is the name) from GNC that is banana flavored and I can tolerate it. (I do the Isopure sometimes...) But the banana flavored powder (2 scoops) mixed w/ orange juice and ice gives me about 30 grams of protein...I have found the ready make protein shakes are either too sweet or too thick for me...So sticking to the oj/powder shake...
I did buy a liquid concentrate protein...However, it tastes SO disgusting - I nearly just taking one tablespoon - but keeping it on hand for emergencies.
I can't give you ideas - but sure can feel your pain!!!

WOW! This post is for me..... I have had the hardest time doing the right thing..... I am 8 weeks post op AND I hit a plateau every WEEK!!!! I can't seem to get in the protein with food. Nutritionist rec. 70g a day.... and I can't stomach the protein drinks. I have wasted SOOO MUCH money pouring them down the drain.... I eat eggs, tuna, beef, cheese, um. lets see.... I eat the wrong things. I can eat chips (just a few-so I try beef, cheese, olives and thats it).. I went to Popeye's and bought the small cajun rice (dirty rice) and ate 1/2 of it one day and other for lunch today. The protein bars are way too sweet and full of so many carbs. .... I think my weight loss keeps reaching a stalemate due to my lack of proteins.... AND.... I thought I was really working out (all the walking I do at work) but when I tried walk off the pounds I couldn't last 5 minutes.... UUGHHHH............ I have written out a schedule so many times, but when you can only eat 3-4 oz at a time (and that is really pushing it) HOWWWW do you get the protein if you can't take the drinks? What about carbs?
