Lunch with friends
Yesterday was my quilt guild's monthly get together for quilting. I had brought tuna for lunch, but it just did not seem appealing. A couple of friends walked to the supermarket a couple of doors down from where we were meeting. They brought back a package containing 8 very small chicken egg rolls (about 1 1/2" long each), 8 wontons, and 8 teriaki beef potstickers. Pre surgery I could have eaten all of it and never thought about it. It fed 4 of us and I had 1 egg roll, 1 wonton, and 2 potstickers. I should have had only 1 potsticker, but it tasted so good that I had the second and with the last bit realized it was too much. I did not get sick, just uncomfortable for a couple of hours. It amazed and still amazes me at how full I get on such small amounts of food. I tell my husband now that I am a real cheap date.
This morning I noticed my pants are way too big for me so I measured my hips--lost 5 1/4 " in my hips. Have to get some new pants or everything will be down around my ankles like the gal in NYC. Have not lost any lbs in more than a week, but things are bigger on me so I know the fat is coming off. I have so much energy, I cannot believe. I feel so wonderful, it is almost criminal.

That's just great about your pants! And the NYC ladies post was very funny.
Pot stickers was something I never liked pre-op but I've had them post-op and really like them. A couple of those and I'm stuffed....when something that size pre-op would have just been a snack. I've come to really like chineese food post-op for when we're eating out. A bit of egg drop or wonton soup, a pot sticker or two and I feel like I've eaten a plate of everything up there.
Congrats on your weight loss/inches loss. I never did measure myself pre-op, just couldn't face it. So I did it a few weeks out but havn't went and checked yet to see if I've lost any inches. Kids keep taking off with my tape measurer, they seem to think it's a toy.
