As of this past Tuesday, I lost a total of 30.5 pounds. Is that good? I just feel as if I am losing slow or something. I was just curious to know what any of you have lost so far. Carol

I've lost 31lbs and you and I are 3 days apart when we had surgery. I felt like I was losing slow too, but realize now that 31lbs in 5 weeks is pretty good! Good job to you too!! Deejay

Hi, congrats on the weight loss. I''m hoping to get there soon. Today is 1 month post op for me and I've lost 28lbs. I was getting a little discouraged because I've seen others who had surg. in July and they have already lost 40 or 50lbs. I keep hearing that everyone is different so your body will lose when it's ready. Don't forget to drink lots of water. Good luck on your journey. Roni

I was slow coming out of the starting blocks. At 4 weeks, I had lost 13lbs. I just passed my seven-week mark, and I am down 29lbs, which means that I lost more in my SECOND month than in my first month. I'm far behind everyone in the weight loss department, but I'll catch up!

I have lost 31 and feel like I am lagging behind. But I hear that sometimes those that have more to lose, lose at a faster rate. But I figure I am 24% towards my goal and sooner or later I will get there. In my opinion, it has to come off when you can only eat 2 - 4 oz of food at a time. Keep up the good work and remember that we will all ge there!

I just went for a 5 week check up and was told everything looks good I should be happy with my weight lose which is 51 pounds but I am not. I was told to go back to eating soft foods and to go see a psychologist the faster you lose the weight the more your body changes and the more emotional you get. I cry for everything and today I realized that I am crying because I do have some problems that really do bother me but before the WLS if I felt this way I would eat food was my best friend and I lost my best friend so please be happy with the way you are losing your lose is normal as long asyou are losing and you are doing what you are suppose to than don't worry everyone is different and you don't want to be in my situation I wish you the best and keep up the good work. I have lost 50lbs since leaving hospitial on the 28th. I was discourged because I was up 6lbs when I left hospitial. I thought here I ago another failure. In fact thursday was told I need to eat another 300 calories a day. Never been told that I have always been told to cut back. Kathy
