Fruit isn't something that will cause you to gain weight, unless you overeat...best is to have grapes or berries as they are mostly water anyways. (might want to skin the grapes depending on what stage you're at) Watermelon is great too...peaches, apricots...softer fruits are best, bananas are ok, but higher in calories...
Trial and error on what you can tolerate..and as long as it's eaten in moderation(which is easy after this surgery) you should be fine. Fruits and veggies are healthy and should be incoporated into our diets.
Bon Appetit!

You should be fine eating that. Small doses as they say
Isn't it great to crave healthy foods!!! I still crave salad...have some now and then...but not too often, lately it's been trouble to get down...Dr explained why suddenly I have some troubles with eating...glad to know it's normal, LOL.

I have been eating watermelon too, it's so sweet and juicy I figure it can't hurt me. I ate some grapes the other day too, just kinda peeled them with my teeth and ate away. My almost 3 year old told me I was 'playing' with my food and that it was a no-no. I had to explaine to her that mommy coudln't eat the outside of the grape, only the inside. She told me that that wasn't fair.....her favorite part was the insides too but I still made her eat the whole grape.
I did take 2 bites off a banana last week and got what I would describe a sugar high off of it. Tasted so good, but I know it will be a while before I have any more.

I've been eating a TON of watermelon this last week because I can't get all my fluids in. The dr. that heads the obesity program I'm going through told me to eat as much watermelon as I liked, and to count it towards my fluids, as that's mostly what it is. Him, my surgeon and my RD have all been encouraging me to be eating more fruits at this point.
