3 weeks out - belly pain!
Hello, July people! I must have done something to hurt myself this weekend, but I don't know what it would have been. I had come to a place where I was almost pain-free, but on Saturday I started feeling some pain on my right side, behind one of my incisions. That particular incision is not healing as quickly as the others. One end is a little red and tender. By Sunday night the pain was worse and was also hurting my back on the same side. Today I woke up and there was more burning on the right but my back doesn't hurt now. It's not a constant pain, but it burns and can be sharp when I move the wrong way. Sound familiar to anybody here?
I've already called my surgeon (4 hours away) and he said to see my PCP. I did and he did an X-ray, but I don't think that's going to tell him much. He says the incision looks fine.
Is this just still healing pain???

Could be gallbladder stones, maybe your kidneys, hmmmmmm.... well as long as your doc is looking into it... If it gets really bad I would go straight to the ER....

I had a similar difficulty with that one pesky incision. I think as things
heal and the swelling comes down from the lap procedure, it changes
the position of the incision ( I don't know if I am explaining it right).
So, while everything was still numb I was pretty much pain free and
I started to try to do stuff ( like walk up a flight of stairs). Then I started
to get the sharp pains again in that incision- which told me that I probably
was doing too much. I took it easy for a few days, and now the incision
looks and feels better.
