How many calories are you getting per day?

I have been averaging about 300 calories per day. My surgeon told me to add another protein drink, and that adds another 100, so today I've had about 425. How about everyone else? I'm getting about 72g of protein. Hugs, Nancy

I am getting most of my protein from Isopure 0 Carb powder (100 cals, 25g protein per scoop) mixed with 4 oz. of Carb Countdown (50 cals, 6g protein). It counts toward my liquids too, so that helps in that department. Maybe you should try something like that. 134 calories a day isn't near enough... Hang in there! Hugs, Nancy

Wow! I don't know exactly how many calories I have been getting, but it is somewhere around 700. My doctor told me that I will need to get it up to 1200, but it is ok for now. I still don't see how it is possible to get that many calories in in a day without eating all day. Sheesh!

I've been logging my foods on fitday.com, which is a free site to use. I've been averaging 600 calories a day, and more than my 50g of protein. But I'm also able to eat tuna fish, which helps a lot with the protein (I added a hard-boiled egg to make it even more). I also drink a glass of milk every morning, and eat cheese and deli-sliced ham or turkey. My meals are very small, but you know, 600 sounds like an awful lot. My surgeon did not say that I was taking in too many calories when I told him, though.

I'm with you, Pamela. My surgery was 7/21. I track on fitday.com and I'm getting between 6-700 calories a day AND I'M THINKING IT'S WAY TOO MUCH. BUT my doc said we needed to get in between 500 - 800 calories a day, so I'm just gonna go with it. I get about 70 g. protein and 64 oz. water.
