bad breath?

anyone having bad breath.. bad taste in the mouth issues? still on liquids here Dawn

My first week after surgery I was pretty stinky all around!! After the first week it seemed to get better, although I have heard a lot of people complain about a bad taste in their mouth. Hugs, Nancy

It's called ketosis and smells of acetone. My surgeon said it was perfectly normal for folks post-surgery. It results from the metabolism of fast weight loss. It's harmless. Tammy

Yes, I have the bad taste thing going on too! With that taste I don't want to eat. I found by brushing a little my teeth a little more often seems to help me! Teresa

I know what u mean, I find I have very dry bad breath. I'm only i week post-op & don't know what to do either but I wish u luck. laura

Hey Dawn, The bad breath will go away, it's from the stomach. Different enzymes in there now. Just keep good dental hygiene, especially flossing and drink lots of water, it will pass, mine did! Good Luck Tracey Love
