What vitamins are you taking?

It seems there are so many opinions about what vitamins we are supposed to be taking. Right now, I am taking: Flintstones Chewables with Iron (2x per day) Tums 800 (for calcium - 2x per day) Ferrous Gluconate I think I should be taking more and I think I'm going to venture out to the Vitamin Shoppe today. On my list is: Calcium Citrate Chewable Wafers and B-12 Sublingual. Hugs, Nancy

Bariatric Advantage multivitamin 2x/day. Two or three times a week, I also take a subligual B-12. I have BA calcium citrate, but I haven't started those yet (I CAN, but don't have to until 3 months). Honestly, I can't wait to get out of the chewable vitamins!

Right now, I am taking 2 Jimmy Neutron Centrum vites a day. At 6 weeks, I will be moving down to one a day and adding B12, Iron and Calcium.

I take two centrum w/iron (can't do the chewables, they make me barf), calcium citrate powder in my protein shakes - 500 mg, sublingual b complex two or three times a week, Coromega (essential fatty acids) two or three times per week (but it should be everyday). I haven't had any bloodwork yet, so I don't know if these are working.

I am taking Centrum adult chewables - orange flavored. Also taking coromega for the fatty acids daily. I take a liquid Ca/Mg (calcium/magnesium) supplement - can't remember who makes it but the doc highly recommended it (I am 1 week post op and the stairs will have to wait for me to check the bottle for now!). He won't let me take Tums for my Ca - they say it is not in a form that is readily absorbed (go figure). Also bought bariatric advantage sublingual b-12 but have not tried it yet - i hate cherry!!! I take two Centrum Adult chewables, orange flavored a day. I am not messing with taking the 12 Sublingual, I went to the doc and got a B-12 shot. Much easier!! I also am on Pepcid twice a day. I dont start calcium citrate until three months out.

Oh, I forgot to mention that we really don't absorb calcium carbonate. Gotta have citrate, so you might as well not waste the tums unless you have an upset pouch!

Nancy: Flintstones chewables w/ Iron (2X per day) - What is it w/ Flintstones? Tums Ultra (for calcium 2x per day) Sublingual B12 Also on anti gallstone medicine and anti ulcer medicine (which is nasty, nasty, nasty) In another 2 weeks to change to Calcium Citrate (but not sure if I am going to - been reading some things about it too) May just stick w/ Tums. Plus suppose to change to Centrum chewables. Anne
