To Post OPS--Tell me about having the staples out

I had my surgery on 7-27-04 and return to my surgeon on 8-3-04 and wanted to know what to expect with the removal of the staples. I am a little creeped out by the whole process and sometimes cant believe that I was brave enuff to have WLS! Everything is going fine and I feel good except for this little matter.

I don't get my staples out until Wednesday, but I've had them out before and it's a piece of cake. Don't waste time and energy worrying about it! Hugs, Nancy

Staples didn't hurt a bit. If they're in longer than a week, sometimes skin can grow around them, which causes pain. Since you'll only be a week out, you should have no trouble.

Staples comming out aren't nothing to worry about. I just had my out 2 days ago. They hurt more in then getting them out. After a week of having them in you will pray for them to be took out. Hope that helps. I am a week post op so good luck................ lap 7/21/04 -17lbs
