I'm not a doctor, but it stands to reason that the less co-morbidities you have, the less dangerous your surgery and quicker your recovery would be. I think that would hold true with any surgery....

Hi Jeanette,
The people that have built up their lungs have an easier time. Use your incentive spirometer now if you have it. If not, you should receive it at your pre-op. The better your stamina is through excersise and lung power the more likely you are to breeze through.
