Support Groups - do you have one?

I would really love to find a support group for after surgery. I don't know if there are any in my area, and I'm not really sure how to go about finding one. I checked on the NJ board, and they were going to try and start one in my area, but it seems like that fell through. Just wondering if you have a support group? Nancy

Yes, I attend my surgeon's support group meetings. I've been attending for more than a year now, and I learned SO MUCH!! I can't stress enough to everyone, how important it is. Attending a support group of your surgeon's patients can give you an idea of how you can fare, as well as give you an idea of how people progress post op. If you can't do that, than any support group is better than none! My group welcomes everyone regardless of surgeon. irene
