See "The New Me" beginning July 13,2004

Hi everyone. I don't usually get on the message board but I am really excited to say that today I got my surgery date. It is July 13. I just hope that I don't have a nervous breakdown before then. LOL I have to lose 13 pounds between now and then. Wish me luck. Also I am 57 and 3/4. If any one out there is "old" like me I would love to hear from them. God Bless, Carol

Hi Carol, I know how you feel. I am really excited and nervous both. I have a surgery date of 7/7/04 for open RNY. I am 46 years old, will be 47 on July 25th. My family probably can't wait until my date comes because I am talking about it all the time. Good luck and Congratulations, Robin

Hi Carol, I will be 60 years old tomorrow but I feel like 40. My date is July 9th and I'm really looking forward to the "first day of the rest of my life". I'm not concerned at all about the surgery because I did enough research and found a great surgeon and I know God will guide his hands. The surgeon knows his job, I just have to do my best at my job post op. Bless you my younger WLS buddie! Dee
