Got a date!
I cannot believe it! I know this isn't true for a lot of people, but it was effortless. I saw my primary in December, spent a couple of months having tests done, etc., and then when I called my surgeon's office last week I was told I'd been approved and asked when I'd like to schedule the surgery. I was stunned. July 14. I'm already feeling nervous and anxious. What an adventure this will be. I just keep telling myself I can do this, I can do this.
I've begun drinking my protein shakes and upping my water intake. I've actually taken 2 walks this week, each over a mile. I've eliminated alcohol from my diet. I'd love other suggestions about how to prepare for this life changing event.
Thanks!

Wow! You were lucky in how fast everything came about for you. Congrats!!!
One thing I know I'll be doing to prepare...is freezing some broths and strained goodies in ice cube trays, just so there will be something ready for me when I get home and need to nibble.
Good luck! and keep us informed!!
