I have my date!!!

I am so thrilled! I finally have my surgery date, July 7th!!! I can't wait. I'm so anxious to get to the *other side*. Am now busy planning everything for before that day...small trip with the kids and bf...getting things ready etc.... Wooohoooo!!!! Happy dance!!!!

I'll raise a glass to that toast!!! Are you doing the same thing I am, getting ahead of myself and wondering..*What will I be like at x-mas??? Where will my weight be at???* etc....?? After such a long wait, I still can't believe I finally have a set date *Happy, happy, joy joy!!!*

I don't think the reality ha**** me yet. But I am excited/nervous. It's been interesting the different reactions people have had to the news that yes, I'm actually going to do this. Not everyone is supportive and encouraging and some are down right negative. But I think this is the right thing for me to do and I feel like it's a gift from God to have the opportunity to have this procedure. I know a lot of people who either don't have insurance or whose insurance won't cover it. Did you have to wait long for approval and whatnot? Merritt

I have the same problem with support here. A few are very supportive, some think I'm insane to go through this..and others I have chosen not to tell because I know the nasty comments I'd get from them. This is my decision and it is the best thing for me. I'm lucky. I live in Quebec so this surgery is covered by our universal medicare. As long as your BMI at the time of your initial consult is over 40, then you're covered by medicare. The wait tends to be a bit longer, but that's fine by me. So basically, I was approved as soon as my surgeon agreed to do the surgery, which was right then at my initial consult. One more month and weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee....hehe Linda
