DS Surgery

Yesterday I sent off the cashier's check to pay for my son's WLS. He has to be on the liver shrinking diet for 3 more weeks, attend a class for pre-op patients on December 5. They will schedule his surgery when they get the check. He is so excited. I am proud of him--he is doing so well staying on the strict diet. I did not have to do that. Monna

Traci, Yes, we're hoping before Christmas. He is just so excited. Yesterday he had salad and a small piece of the leanest ham I'd ever had. We always go to a movie as a family on Thanksgiving and he didn't even try to have popcorn or a hotdog. He says he is not having a problem with the severely restricted diet. He found a protein drink that he really likes and that certainly helps. Monna
