I ordered my protein from WLSsuccess and got the the chocolate Designer Whey and the Nector proteins and I love both and have no problem drinking them. They do not have that chalking taste like others....I think the link is shown on this website in advertisements. You might also try the Carnation Instant Breakfast (no sugar added) and add some no flavor protein to it to boost the protein intake. They gave me the Strawberry in the hospital with skim milk and I loved it there, I even added to my cream of wheat so I would get protein that way. If you can't find anything, you need to contact your doctor since it's very important to your health that you get in the protein. Hope everything works out. Debbie Day

I HAD SURGERY ON 7/15/03 AT DEKALB MEDICAL CENTER AND I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THE NURSES AT THE HOSPITAL THEY WERE GREAT. I HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS EXCEPT FOR GAS PAINS AND BLOATING AFTER 1 WEEK HOME AND I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO DIE. THANK GO FOR MAG CITRATE I DRANK HALF A BOTTLE AND GOT RELIEF. WOULD LIKE TO HEAR FROM SOME OTHE WLS PATIENTS THAT LIVE IN MY AREA.

Wow, that is wonderful! I had open rny on the 15th and am just now getting my strength back. I sorta wish now that I had gone with lap, but I wanted the surgeon I had and he only does open. As long as I heal, that is all that matters. Well, that and lose weight. lol

Annie, GNC has a liquid concentrate called Amino 2222 - fruit punch flavor. 4 Tbsp mixed with a little propel strawberry water or just plain water is far more tolerable for me!! It's like a koolaid and totally not thick. It has saved my butt. I don't like the shakes either. Jeannie Lap RNY 7/23/03
