Topic: RE: 2 weeks and one day!!
I also had lap band surgery on July 22, 2003.
I feel great, and I've lost 21 pounds since then (today is August 14).
I'm moving to soft foods next week. I've been tolerating things fine, haven't had anything come back up. I hope it stays that way into the next phase.
I had a great experience also- surgery at 8:00 am, out at 9:15, left the hospital the next day at 2:00pm.
Topic: RE: I'm so MAD!!!!!
Of course I do not know you PCP but not all of them know what surgeons require for wls. Many do not know anything about wls. It has been my experience (i volunteer in memberservices on this site) that it is up to the surgeons office to let you know what they require. Maybe it is different in every state or with different insurance companies. Foutain Valley is a great place, you are in good hands!
Topic: I'm so MAD!!!!!
I was supposed to have my surgery on July 31st and it had to be postponed. My PCP was sooooo idiotic that she didn't "realize" that I needed to have a psyc eval, so it hasn't been done yet. Of course I can't have the surgery until I do, so Fountain Valley is being so understanding and helping me with getting the eval and setting it up for the same day that I will finally get to meet Dr. Ali. Sorry for not letting everyone know sooner but I moved and didn't have internet for the last 3 weeks. Thanks to everyone with their well wishes. I do appreciate it.

HI Paula, you are doing great! The first few weeks are the hardest but you seem to have come through it just wonderful. There might be times where you get discouraged but hang in there, things do and will get better, or so im hoping. LOL Think positive!
Topic: Dr Stellato, who is my su...
Dr Stellato, who is my surgeon set a date for me to have my gastric bypass on July 29, 03 and they post-poned it because,
they were worried about my Lungs being in shape for the surgery.
They have not contacted me lately and I am using my Cpap every
night but I hate the machine. I want to hurry up and have my
surgery. I want to begin my new life, and I feel Like i have been
delayed. My name is Pamela Cotton

I just wanted to let everyone know that I am doing great. I have done so well, its just amazing. Alot of people say that I dont look like I had surgery. I have lost 28 lbs in 2 weeks. I am fitting into clothes that I haven't been able to wear in 2 yrs. Almost like having new clothes. I have met my first goal of 250. Hope everyone else is doing good. I haven't had much head hunger but I am so bored with the full liquid diet. I can't wait to have some chicken or tuna friday, which is my 3rd week mark. woohoooo!!!! Take care, hugs and prayers, Paula
Topic: RE: Anyone queasey like me??
I'm really queasy. Sometimes I don't have enough water and am a little dehydrated. Sometimes I need to eat. Other times, I'm just yucky all over everywhere. I was told that's normal and should go away by month three. Annie
Topic: RE: Anyone queasey like me??
I had surgery on 7/15 and am queasy at least 70% of the time, sometimes really bad other times not so bad. Yesterday and today have been really good days so I am hoping it is a sign that things are getting better. Good luck!
