Topic: IHAVE LOST 59 LBS. AND I FEEL GREAT
i HAVE NEVER WORE A SIZE SMALL IN ANYTHING IN MY LIFE, BUT NOW I AM DOWN TO A SIZE SMALL IN SWEATPANTS AND IT FEELS GREAT. I'M NOT LOSING THE WEIGHT AS FAST AS OHTER PEOPLE, BUT THAT DOES NOT BOTHER ME AT ALL. I HAVE A LOT OF GAS AND CANNOT FIND A WAY TO GET RID OF IT, SO IF ANYONE OUT THERE KNOWS OF SOMETHING FOR ME TO TRY PLEASE LET ME KNOW I AM ONLY TAKING HALF OF THE MEDICINES THAT I USED TO TAKE AND THAT FEELS GOOD TO. OVER ALL I FEEL REALLY GOOD ABOUT MYSELF NOW.

Yea, I have the runny nose thing too! I just thought I was now allergic or something, because I sure can't be coming down with a cold all these months. That's interesting, at least I can better understand the "nose" deal. Thanks!

Topic: Quirky runny nose and sneezing when full..........
I think it's so interesting and hope they find out someday why this happens! At first I thought I was becoming allergic to some foods or something. Seemed like I'd sneeze after eating eggs every time. Then on one of my post-op visits they gave me a form to fill out and one of the questions was asking if you had a runny nose! So now that I know, I've watched closely and it's always when I'm full. I also think that it's interesting how a lot of people have their tastes change so very much after surgery. I use to love tuna, and milk, etc. and now I can't tolerate them. I craved chocolate ALL the time before surgery and now I don't even think about it. I now get cravings for certain foods for weeks at a time. I had pinto beans every day for two weeks recently. Salad is another one I go overboard on. The cravings I have now are so different than the ones I had before surgery! Thank goodness.

Topic: Congratulations to all
Reading all of these wonderful posts, it would take forever to reply to all individually. I just want to say that I share the journey and am just so glad for everyone. We have been given a second chance in life! Just went for my 6 month (surgery was July 3) I am down 127. My husband who had surgery with me on the same day is down 75. It is so nice to know that all of you are here to share the experience with. May we all continue down the path to wellness. I am praying for the continued success of everyone! Whether we have lost a little or a lot, we are on the losing side. Congratulations!

Has anyone had this done? I had 2/3 of my stomach removed then stapled. The doctor will do the bypass after I've lost over 100lbs. Down 78, but it's been rough just like following a diet, but I'm losing because my portion sizes have been cut dramatically.

Topic: RE: 5 MONTHS OUT AND 107 LBS GONE FOREVER
Congratulations Kendra! My WLS RNY was 7.15.03 at 244 lbs. Today my weight is 167, DOWN 77 pounds. What a wonderful Christmas Gift we all have this year! Last year I was depressed yet again about my weight and this year I am wearing a size 12/14 (last year was 22/24). What a wonderful New Year we have to look forward to.

Hi Jules, great progress! I've lost 77 pounds since WLS on July 15, 2003 and some weeks it is a ONE pound loss and then the next can be 3 to 4 pounds but as long as those scales move, and they will...we are the greatest losers ever!! Happy Holidays...Ann
