Topic: RE: Post Op Vertigo
Hi Jules-
I do have some problem with vertigo, but not to the same extreme. If I stand up too quickly, I get REALLY dizzy (like Im going to pass out) . My PCP said this is normal, as my body is trying to re-adjust, and overcompensating. Sounds like you need to see that ENT and neurologist! Good Luck! Please keep me posted!!

Deana said it so great. I just wanted to back her words of encouragement up. Look at how far you have come. It will happen. Try and boost the exercise program a little. You are doing great. You will succeed. Don't get discouraged!!

Dear Rebecca....
You are doing awesome. I wouldn't beat yourself up about the cravings. I think someone else posted here about how we all have those cravings. They were so right. I have found it that maybe a taste of something is so much better than denying myself everything. I have really started exercising seriously and have found that has really motivated me a lot. My family is shocked because I am NOT into exercising at all. Keep up the great work!!

Thank u all for responding. Although I am sorry to hear you guys experience these difficulties, it is comforting to know Im not alone. I went to the doc today (85lbs since surgery/ 108 total loss wooo hoo
) but didnt ask about the cravings and such. In his waiting room, people talked about this issue, was like a mini support group session. some were up to 2 yrs postop. Soooo I guess it comes with the territory!

Hi Jodi!
I had my surgery on 7/01. You are doing great! I have lost 90 lbs. I feel like I have been on a wicked plateau for the past month. my wieght hasn't moved in three weeks! How much exercising are you doing? That is where I am really suffering. I am not exercising. If I start doing better with that, maybe it will kick start my losing.
Keep the faith!

Hello Jules:
I know for a while there at about 4 1/2 months out I was really dizzy. To the point I was afraid to drive. My doc thought it was dehydration..not getting enough water. I upped my water intake- and it seemed to help. They also said it could be low blood pressure--I hope everything works out for you!

Topic: RE: Eating beef before I'm supposed to...
This just goes to show you how incredibly different all Drs are in regards to WLS. I was released from any kind of diet restriction at 1 wk post-op. I've been eating pretty much whatever I wanted since then. I do try to avoid certain things like pasta, rice, other carbs and high sugar foods. But at the same time, I definitely don't deprive myself of something I really want. I just limit the quantity.
Congrats on your 90 lbs. That is wonderful!!!
