WOW!!! Ok Ladies!! Too many of us in the same boat not to help one another out and not STOP this!!! I too have been going through the same thing. Chips, Nutter Butter Cookies (my fav) and worse of all, sipping on Sprite or other sodas. Ohh can't forget the milk duds. What we have to do now is make a vow to one another that if we are feeling like we need to open a bag of chips, cookies, etc. that we will get on here and email one another. I vow this to all of you!! Now lets see if it works and go from there (anyone have .50 I can borrow for some Lays Chips?) j/j Dee [email protected]

Topic: RE: Post Op Vertigo
Hi Julie, Wow, I did not know Vertigo was so popular these days. I just emailed out about that subject a bit ago. I was at the emergency room on the 25th then went to my family doctor the following Monday. That was when I was diagnosed with Vertigo. My doctor has me on Meclizine 25mg. It seems to have helped a good bit, but still today I am dealing with the weakness, dizziness and off balance. I will be 7 months out Feb. 1, 04. I hope this ends really soon though, Because I too am not able to drive. Even when I walk downstairs to check mail I have to take my time and be careful. Wishing you the best of luck my friend, Dee

Hi! I went to a buffett, Ryans Steakhouse they honored my card with no questions asked. I have yet to go to an Old Country Buffett. What are you eating? I have been really careful before and after my complications I had. What surgery did you have? I had the Sapala-Wood Micropouch my pouch is as big as a grape! I have went from 240 to 146 in less than 6 mos! I feel pretty good, in spite of my problems! Have you had any complications? I am scared of alot of foods. I have been since day one! I eat when I am hungry..and I guess that's not a good thing. Have you lost much hair? I am losing alot my hair is very thin and dull! I have neglected my protein! I am starting to use the Atkins shakes they are so much better than my powder mix from the surgeons office that's for sure! Well thanks for listening, Shannon

Topic: Anyone have a bowel obstruction?
I am currently down t0 146 from 240! Since July 31! I wondered if anyone else has had any problems such as bowel obstruction? I had mine on December 19, 2003. I spent 5 days in the hospital. I have no regrets about the surgery at all, I just wish that wouldn't have happened to me! I was terrified and in so much pain. I would have rather went through the whole WLS again. I am doing much better now I just need to regain my strength I am supposed to go back to work on Monday, and I don't think I am ready I think I need a few more weeks to totally recover. Please give me some tips or suggestions if anyone has any! Shannon

Topic: RE: weight loss has slowed way down
Hi Stacie, I to have noticed the weight loss slowing down. I am consuming around 700-800 calories a day. Have you joined a gym? Also increase your water and walk a lot more. You have to wake up that metabolism. I have lost 87 lbs since 7/28/03. I think your numbers sound great. Just think how much you would've lost if you were following a "regular" diet. Good luck to you---you will succeed!!!!

Topic: RE: No weight loss for almost a month!
Please don't view a plateau as your failure! And that's all it is, a plateau. I've lost a little more than that, but it's coming off really slow now. That's normal. It was never all going to come off at the same pace it did in the beginning. The doctor said we would keep losing for up to two years. Hang in there. Go back to your hand outs on what to eat, and be sure you're not eating too much of the wrong things. You're going to make it, and 75 lbs is great!
