Congratulations Carol! That is awesome, everytime I went down a size and "zipped" my first pair of jeans again after 30 years of excess weight, WOW what a rush! Great continued success as you go!

July buddies...remember we are all individuals using our new "WLS tool" and we will all respond differently. I am pleased with my success whether I lose quickly or at a slower pace. The new stomach works just right for my body and that is all I've ever wanted in this whole weight battleground! I do know others personally who have lost more in 8 months, but it does not bother me, I am happy and so is my Dr., with my progress. Keep losing safely and effectively for the road ahead in our new lives as "thinner" people. Good luck and thanks for your kind posts.

I had surgery on July 18, 2003 and I now weight 225 ibs I started at 350 wearing a size 30 jeans with elistic all throw the waist. I now can wear a size 18-20 in regular jeans. I love the process.

I think posting is the magic cure to get the weight going, atleast a little! Soon after I posted I lost another 4 pounds, so thats a total of -98. gosh, I still wish I could get in another 4 in before my appt on April 16th. If I don't get there, I know I look great anyway.

Hi Ann, I am happy you lost 100 lbs. I too hit the "century" mark this past Friday at my weigh in. It feels great right? I had thought for awhile that I was a slow loser. But I guess there are others out there who are at the same pace as me. Your WLS friend--Angie

Hey Elizabeth you look great and I encourage you to do measurments if you havn't. The months i lost only 5-7 pounds the inches were lost was amazing. Then the next month the weight loss numbers were more. I think our bodies need time to adjust and catch-up, the pounds/inches lost balance out as our shape changes. Most likely you wil start losing again. the months I felt that way I increased my protein intake and it did make a difference in the pounds lost the next week! Just a thought.

As of March 30, 2004 I reached the loss of 100 pounds! I am so excited and had given myself until July (my anniversary month) to reach this goal. Very pleased with my progress I have learned and encourage others also, that we are individuals and our weight loss accomplishments are the same. Encouragement to all "July" buddies.
