I usually don't drink nearly enough either, though I drink more than I did prior to surgery! I try to get through two bottles a day, which serves me pretty well. If you're getting through three, great!
OH yeah, I hit a plateau when I was at -90 pounds or so. It lasted for TWO MONTHS. It really sucked, but I just kept doing what I was doing, actually upped my protein intake and exercise regimen, and eventually I started losing again.
P.S. I need to figure out how to have a little picture by my entries!

Hi!!! Welcome to the boards...today is my first time being here, too! We already have a lot in common. We had surgery the same month!
Mine was July 23, 2003 in Houston with Dr. Naaman. I have lost 115....or maybe 119. Depends on how I stand on the scale!
Stats:
Height: 5'4"
Preop: 305
Current: 190ish (somewhere between 186 and 190!)
Goal: 150
How much water do you drink? I don't drink enough, but am trying to drink one bottle before lunch, another before supper and another by bedtime. so 3 bottles (1 pt. 8 oz. per bottle) a day. Is that enough or do I need to drink more?
Have you hit a stubborn plateau at all? I have been at this weight for about 5 weeks and getting discouraged. (see my earlier post)
Good talking to you!
Pat

Way to go Lynn! Congrats...I'm wearing a sweater most of the time. This "thinner" thing takes some getting used to!

Lynn,
Congrats! What a wonderful accomplishment. I too am cold quite often - that is so different from where I was 9 months ago - I used to be hot constantly! Keep up the good work!

I hit my 100 pound mark and it feels great!!!!I had my surgery 7/25/03 and I was 290 pounds and I am now down to 189. I am in a size 10/12 and I'm lovin it. The only thing that is hard to get used to is constanlty being cold, but I would take that anyday than be where I was 8 months ago!

Cathy: Well, better late than never on my response. I realize it has been a month now since you hit 100# but I still wanted to take a minute and say CONGRATS! Hope all is going well. I had my surgery on 7/14/03. Started at 261 and now am at 156. I don't know about you, but I find it hard to comprehend sometimes how much differently I feel towards life in general. Life is no longer about getting up and trying to stay upbeat until I went back to bed. It's now about trying to figure out how many things I can cram into a day just because I can. Here's to a great summer!

Carole: Way to go!!! Isn't it just a total feeling of "wow" when you look down and see that 100# is just gone forever. No matter what happens in our lives, that can't be taken away. We have to live with the fact that we are just a bunch of big old losers!!!!!!! I know I plan on having a more enjoyable summer than last without all of those extra pounds hanging around (well, except the ones hanging around my stomach yet!!). Last summer was for healing - this year's for living!!!!!!!! Take care. Rhonda
