Topic: RE: I am not losing!
SAme here....my dr told me that I am only going to lose about 15-20 more pounds. I found that very discouraging. I wanted to lose at least 30-40 more. I hope that he is wrong. I have lost about 95 from my surgery date and 104 from my PCP weigh in. I am unoffically a member of the century club but am still wanting more. I need to excersize more and drink a lot more water. Please let us all reach our goals. I mean come on can we get just one break on our weight.

Sounds like I am not the only one either. I will be 9 months out as of tomorrow. I am down 152 pounds with about 60 more to go. I have been slowly losing recently too. Sounds like it's just a phase so long as we follow the pouch rules and exercise regularly. It is very frustrating now, but let's not give up hope!

Topic: Suprise!!
Well Hello all you July b-days! I haven't posted in quite a while. I love reading everyones comments and it sure is nice to know that I am not alone in this journey!! My highest weight was 299 the day of surgery I was 276. Today I'm 168 about 15 pounds from my goal. woohoo! Then guess what!! despite preventive measures, I'm pregnant!! I didn't think it was actually possible!! If anyone has any suggestions or support to throw my way I have my catchers mitt on and I'm ready to go. My ob/gyn has consulted with my surgeon and so far everything looks great. Now I am really focusing on what I'm eating and taking vitamens. Well my love and support to you all enjoy your day! Sarinda

HI Carlyce, Don't be sad, I had my surgery on 7/10/04 and started out at 299, and am now 198. I sometimes too, feel like it is going too slow, compared to others, but, I have also seen others just like us. That is still over 100 #'s gone, and though it is slow, it is still going down. I know that I could add excersize, and lower some carbs.....which I have not done yet....but, I am still losing....and even if I stayed where I am right now, I would feel and look great. I have heard it takes a good 18 mos to 2 years for the weight loss to stop, so, as far as time we are only 1/2 way there for our weight loss to keep going. Hang in there it is still fantastic....100 lbs....I NEVER NEVER thought I could ever lose that much....Renee

I have been looking over the posts and it saddens me to see so many people with the same surgery month as me all ready at or close to goal. I started at 300 and have lost 105. I am 195 and need to lose 50 more pounds. Surgery date was 7/8/03 Don't get me wrong. i am happy for those who are doing so well, and i know I shouldn't compare, but.......... Carlyce

Cindy, Talk about hair loss I was so when it started falling out in clumps. I had fine hair to begin with but alot of it. To top it off i am a hairdresser. I wanted to it back if i were a magician . I even was telling the gals at work i will need a wig soon . I am almost nine months post op and it is falling out less but still falling out. I would also sugest nioxin, i have not tried it but heard it is good. I have bleached blonde hair and use shampoo that thickens the hair it does work . I have lost around 120 pounds 20 more to go If you need a friend to talk with email me at [email protected] I need someone to talk to that has gone through the same things i have. SUZIE
