I'm 11 months post op in three days...and I've lost 118 lbs now! I'm down from 304 to 186 lbs. Life is wonderful. I checked my bmi and i'm no longer OBESE...im only overweight! whooHOOO Did we ever really believe we would be here now? I know i didn't.

Hi Lori: I had my RNY on July 11, 2003, and I'm down 97 pounds (and holding), so I know what you mean about plateaus. What has worked for me is getting back to basics....protein, water, exercise. That's what got me down this far, and I hope to lose the last 5 pounds before my one year check up next month. Hang in there...remember, you've already done beautifully! Robyn

PLEEEZ...........I'm tired of National Geographic calling me to be their centerfold!!! It's been six months (almost 70 lbs.) and mine are now gone. Of course, it doesn't help that I'm over 50 and breastfed my babies..........oh well, there ARE worse things.

I have sagging arms also, it doesn't bother me as much now that I have lost so much weight. I wear the 3/4 length sleeves which is really nice, I don't notice my arms as much. I heard plastic surgery on the arms leaves a scar, so either way I will more than likely continue to wear the 3/4 length sleeves if I decide to have the PS. I have a stomach also, but I try and wear clothes that makes my stomach look smaller...now this is a surgery I would love to have TT. I know we suppose to wait until we are out atleast 18 months, and we have lost as much as we would like to loose. Hang in there just go with the flow. Take care, and GOD BLESS!
