Congrats Michelle, I agree I have a whole new lease on life that I didn't think would ever be possible again! I'm busy and active and love every minute of it, too!

Thank you so much for your reply. I was going to say that you cannot imagine how much my life has changed but I decide to change that because I am sure that you can imagine it. I think about it everyday and think about the person that i used to be and love who I am now.

I want you to know I do believe that our July of 2003 was the year of Success !! the reason I say this is because every single person I have talk to that had their surgery in July of 03 some had problems and some did not.. But are all happy that they had this surgery and each and everyone say that they would do it again even the ones that had problems !! And looking at the sucess rate of the totals of weight loss for our month and year I would shout YES !!!!!!!!!!!!

What is your calorie intake? I too was stalled for two months and I have started the water loading thing that i saw on pouch rules for dummies, watched my diet and lost 4 pounds this week after a two month standstill. My nutrionist also told me that my body is just protecting itself because now I am at the point where it is hanging onto everything since it signals my body is starving basically. I am healthy of course. The fat is turning into muscle and that also keeps you stable on the scales. I was told to increase my calorie intake to 1,500 but am only able to get in 1,00-1,100. Talk with your nutritionist and she what they have to say, it might help you jumpstart again.

It is totally amazing how the years melt away from your face with the weight loss. I too have been told I look so much younger now.. Geeeesh I'm only 44. I looked like 54 before surgery. I am so hoping to get pics posted but have to wait for my teenage son to help me. LOL Samantha sounds like you got it going on girl!! Congrats.

OH Dear Cathy.. thank you for being willing to share books with other ! From my heart I thank you !! This will help bring the knowledge to other dear to me.. I am in fact only number 2 in our county that has had this surgery.. I actually found out from a specialty doctor that was visiting our county about the surgery myself !!
Our county is a very closed minded county, in fact a couple WLS doctors have try-ed visiting out here, and not one doctor would even talk to them.. Weird HUH?? it seems that so many doctors are old fashion and still believe that we can loose weight through pills,diet and exercise !!! And won't even bring up the fact of there is a surgery that helps people unless they start asking ALLOT of questions about it first !!
So books and knowlage is where I am looking into offering..
And trust me if anyone has ANY books to share I will be out there shareing them.. And not just about the gastric bypass either any books about any weightloss surgery is very welcome !!!!!!!!!!!! Please if anyone else has any books to share please contact me.. thank you all in advance.. Audrey
