Patricia, be positive, KNOW you will not be sick after surgery. I am a true believer in positive thinking. I believed it after my 3 c-sections and never slowed down , except for naps. Yes you will need to take it a bit easy for a week or two, but you will NOT be sick!! See how that works? LOL BUT if for some reason you are, your hub will be fine, they always are. ***grins Good Luck!

Very excited and yet a lil leary. Cant believe this nightmare will be ending soon or atleast under control. My husband is very nervous, but has stopped trying to talk me out of it. I just hope he can keep up with our 30 month and 15 month old lil girls! I know it wont be easy, I may be very sick for a few days/weeks....but just the thought makes my heart go a flutter. I cant imagine the fact that I could be down 50 or more pounds by the fall/christmas season. Its actually mind blowing!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so confident about this that I dont even think about it anymore, for I know I made the right choice in procedures and doctors for myself. What power it is to make a decision like this, the grand step for reclaiming my body and my self esteem.
*Fingers crossed* !!!!!!!!

I have surgery on July 15th also. Like you I am waiting for school to get over with. I am not a teacher but a substitute with 2 children in school and twins that are 21 months. It still seems pretty un-real for me. Most here at home say I am to non-chalant about it all. I am waiting for the excitement to kick in. I think that will happen after school gets out. Then things move fast. We have a wedding, a going away party, end of baseball party, end of softball party and then we vacation for a week at our favorite campground. THEN....................3rd day back I go in for surgery. We will have to keep in touch.

Hi everyone!
I will be having a lap RNY on July 15th performed by Dr. Terrence Fullum at Washington Adventist Hospital in Takoma Park, MD. It seems so close, but so far. I have to make arrangements for my 3 young children and I'll probably be "super cleaning" once the school year ends (I'm a teacher).
I'm wondering what I should buy to prepare my home for my return, anything special I should take to the hospital, etc.
Anyone else having surgery on the 15th? Congratulations to everyone who has made an informed decision to improve their health (that includes, me!)

Fear! Wow! I know what that's about.... I am a little frightened, but I think it's just those jittery nerves, you know all this planning, and research, and now it's within sight!
