My name is Jodie and I live in Greenville, SC. I will be having my surgery on July 30th at Hilcrest Hospital in Simpsonville, SC. Please keep me in your prayers. I am so excited. This site has been a God send. I come here every night to look at the before and after pics and think to myself one day I'll be that skinny.

Topic: Anyone else with a July 28th surgery Date?
I am excited and nervous to find out that my surgery date is going to be here so quickly. I was expecting a fight with the insurance company, and a long wait with the doctor, but neither thing happened. So here I am, trying to squeeze in 2 trips and lots of other things before July 28th.
Is anyone else having surgery on the 28th? What have you been doing to prepare? I'd love to hear from others on mental or physical preparation.

I am also scheduled for July 7th. My surgery will be done by Dr. Callery in Poway, Ca. Kind of far from Kansas, but not in cyberspace. Good Luck to you and I will follow you progress on your profile.

Topic: July 8th...hurray!!!!!!!!!!
It has been almost a year in the making. Finally I have a date. I really look forward to being able to do things with my husband and my 3 1/2 year old daughter (more like keeping up with them). My family has been so supportive. I am a little worried about that week after the surgery. My husband has to go out of town for work and my motherinlaw will be staying with me. I really wish he was going to be home but I know it will all work out ok.

Hi Stacy, mine is the same day July 3rd but in Upstate NY... i wish you all the best with your surgery....I've been waiting a very long time i was scheduled for June 11th, then office changed to different hospital and put my date 3 weeks more to wait, i was so upset. so now i'm down to counting the days again. 16 days and counting.... Another July 1ster here, I know exactly what you mean. Can't wait I know this is what I have to do and I have wanted it for so long but the nerves are kicking in something awaful at times. I still have to get approval from insurance so that fight at least is keeping my mind off of the nerves somewhat.

I am having Lap RNY on 7/1/03 can't belive it is only two weeks away. I had a few set backs, changed doctors, the place to get pre-testing done was booked months out and then the doc had to go and have a baby. I have only been waiting since November when I first changed docs. I am getting that nervous excitement. Have two coworkers who had open RNY in the fall and they are doing great wonderful insperation even.
