I am having surgery on July 8 and would love to have someone with whom to compare notes. My surgery will be an RNY in Houston, TX. At this point it's hard to think of much else.

I haven't had surgery yet, so I'm afraid I can't give you any advice. But I am having surgery on July 8 also. I can see how you would be bummed to have the surgery postponed a week. The anticipation is so hard!

Hi everyone - I'm also scheduled for July 9th. I'm more excited than anything else. I'm not afraid of the pain, and I havent given much thought to dying. I do feel anxious though, I think its the fear of the unknown. I have support from all my family and friends, and I see a GREAT therapist. I am sooooo ready for this change!

Hi Jodie! My name is Dina and I too am having surgery on July 30th. Mine is a revision. I had a VBG in 2001 that failed. This time its RNY all the way!! I am nervous, but excited!! I am 40, married , 3 kids and live in Goshen Indiana. I am having my surgery at the I.U. med center in Indianapolis. It's about a 3 hour drive for us, but worth it. Good luck and keep in touch!!

Congratulations Brenda!! My surgery date is also July 9th. I want to shout it from the roof tops. I am soooo ready for this huge change in my life. Hi Leiane, I have surgery on July 9th also!! I'll be in Concord, NC. I'm very excited and alittle nervous. But, right now I'm not scared. I think this will be the BEST thing I ever did for myself. I would love to keep in touch with you (and anyone else having sugery on 7/9) so we can compare notes.
