Hello Sharon! I will be having my surgery exactly 7 days before you. which means, of course, that as soon as I'm out of the hospital you'll be going in. I wasn't nervous before, but now I am starting to get nervous... REAL nervous! It's not the fear of "What happens if something goes wrong" but more along the lines of "What if this doesn't work? What if can't stick to it?" But then the fear subsides, and then I know IT WILL WORK! IT TOO DRASTIC A CHANGE FOR ME TO FAIL! ANd then I'm good, for oh.... about an hour....

Surgery date that is July 15 a week after we get back from visiting our son in St. Louis. I am pumped!!

My name is Maureen and I am waiting on the surgeon to call me back this afternoon to confirm the 21st as my surgery date also.
I don't know about you, but I am very excited but also very scared and nervous. I know this is what I want, but I also want to come out of surgery alive!!!

Hi Robin! I too am having a revision. I had a RNY in april of 2001 that failed. I gained back about 55 lbs. out of the 100 that I lost. It's discouraging! I will be there again though. New surgeon and hospital this time. It's nice to know that after having the RNY once, you'd do it again. My surgery is scheduled for July 30th! Best of luck!!!
