My surgery date is July 16! I am so excited! It seems to be all I think about lately. Wish me luck, and keep me in your prayers. Anyone else with the same date....how are you handling the anxiety / nervousness? I find myself constantly on the web looking at before and after pictures thinking to myself "that is going to be me pretty soon...". I am having open VBG.

My surgery date is 17Jul! I am so excited!! The process takes so long - I can not believe it is finally scheduled. So many emotions - not quite sure what to do with all of them!!

I'm having an Open RNY on July 7th at Junction City, KS. I am SO excited, yet nervous as well! The days are starting to fly by now....Anybody else out there who has the same date as I do?!? If so, please email me...it would be fun to have others to track my progress with.....to know when something is "normal" or "not-so-normal"! Best wishes to everyone whose surgery is approaching!

I am most worried about my back pain post op. I have spinal arthiritis. But I guess that pain on the other side will be a welcome sign that everything else went well. ;) I'd love to voice chat with fellow DSers near my date.

I CAN'T BELIEVE I FINALLY GOT A DATE, ESPECIALLY AFTER THE INSURANCE FELL THROUGH AND I HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET. BUT BEING HEALTHY AND HAPPY IS BETTER THAN A NEW CAR RIGHT NOW.
