I can hardly believe it is almost here! Is there anyone else going to be having surgery on July 30th? I would love to correspond and compare notes!

Dorothy, My surgery was postponed from 5/6/03 to 7/1/03 and I was very upset. But, I read thru some of the postings of people who had not even been approved yet and I felt a lot better. I ended up spending my time reading Carnie Wilson's 2 books "Gut Feelings" and "I'm Still Hungry". "Gut Feelings" taught me so much about the process of gastric bypass surgery and how to take care of myself before and after the surgery in order to get the best results. I ended up walking on my treadmill everyday and reading anything re: nutrition and post op care. I had my check-up w my PCP today and she said I lost 3 lbs and lowered my blood pressure! So the time was well spent and very necessary to my success. I hope you can use the time to better inform yourself too! Good luck.
