Topic: RE: Pre surgery anxiety
Merilee, I hear you. I'm going to have my surgery on July 8th. My father is 80. He lives with me. Who will look after him if something happens to me? The answer of course, is he will be fine, and so will I. But OMIGAWD! I'm alternating between cool, calm and collected, to excited, to worried, to happy, to elated, to scared witless. AUGH!!!!! I've also had my surgery date changed so often, I'm also experiencing angst over that. (((((Merrilee)))))) You hang in there, hon. I'll do the same.

Topic: Home from surgery
I'm home from the hospital, had the roux-en-y on July 1st. Feel pretty decent, not too much pain, more like pressure inside stomach. I feel like I am eating or drinking al lthe time. Have had "full liquids" and even a few cheezit crackers, with no ill results.
More later, and hope go with you who are coming up

It has been a week ago this a.m. that I had my surgery done. I had Dr. Hunter from Federal Way do it and he was excellenct. I went home on Monday only because I had a slight temp that they wanted to keep an eye on. But hang in there you guys, it is worth it already. It was nice to get home. I have been feeling really well, and walking with my daughter. If anyone has some questions I can answer don't hesitate, although sometimes I have trouble "posting". My address is : [email protected]
Topic: Date for Joan Comer's Surgery
I got the date wrong for Joan's surgery. It isn't the 29th like I stated. It is the 24th. Please post her your good thoughts. She hasn't figured this whole site and the postings out yet. She's learning.

Terry, I am so very sorry to hear the news. I will pray that he will find new coverage. I too may have my surgery cancelled, not to a technical issue but because I had an EKG and it iwas very abnormal. So you see, it could be worse. You could be in my shoes and scared to death! I will be having an echo on Monday morning at 0900. I am terrified. I do not really care about the surgery now, I just want to have a normal Echo!! Please pray for me. ```
