Hi All,
I am back from a week of vacation and ready for surgery. 2 more days! I am not sure if the surgeons office left a message while I was gone because the power went out and erased everything on the message machine!!! I guess I will call them on Monday if they dont call me by 1 pm. I was told by someone that has the same surgeon as I that the office calls you the day before to go over last minute things and to tell you when you are to report. I do know my surgery is at 7:30 am and was told that they usually like you there a couple hours before then. Sooooooooooo that means DH and I will be heading out around 3:30 am if things stay as they are. At least I will be too tired to think about much( i hope). LOL I am not nervous really but I KNOW I will be in about 24 hours, this is getting way to REAL!

Hi Robin, Waiting for approval is the worst thing we all go through I think,but once that part is over things get better. From all I hear Dr Valin is a terrific surgeon so you are in GREAT hands. Good luck!

My surgeon uses the epidural for pain managment. I was scared of it because of a c-section with a spinal that HURT, but my surgeon told me the epidural goes into a different spot and that they arent worrying about a baby this time, just about me and MY comfort. I am having open rny and am Sooooooooooo glad I will NOT be awake for it. ***Grins Good luck!
