Sexual Problems

I have heard of panniculectomy, and noticed that after getting to around 230 pounds (dropping about 150 pounds) the pannus has become so dominant that sex is next to impossible. I have been getting urinary tract infections as well, having to do with the mechanics of this,. Simply put, the penis is not of sufficient length to be able to perform intercourse given the immensity of the pannus fat covering the area. Is there something that can be done to remedy this problem?

Hi Stephen, Congratulations on your loss!!! I had a Panni and hernia repair after loosing 100lbs. It was rough to go through but well worth it. From a woman's perspective it enhanced my sex life and appetite. Not only did I feel better about the way I looked with my clothes off but it lifted the mons and made everything "down there" more accessible. I can only imagine that it would help a man too. Have you checked with your insurance company to see if it is covered? Mine was covered with the hernia repair and cost the insurance company (private pay is much more) a little over $9000. Good luck, Jen
