Panicking!!!!.
I had my surgery July 15th 2003. I have lost 96 lbs in 2 years!!! I now weigh 287 lbs. Although I feel great and look pretty good, this can't be it. I have gotten way off track. I still don't eat much. Just probably the wrong stuff. And I exercise at the very least twice a week. I was told to get and try the southbeach diet. I would love some, get back on track, reminder responses. I have just completeley forgotten what to do.
Remember, No carbs, lots of protein, stay away from sugars and fats. Take your vitamins and drink lots of water. Just know that you have been given this opportunity and it's totally up to you now. God and the rest of us are with you. Just make the choices you know in your heart that are right. Don't give up and don't give in!!
Keep up the good work...! Just remember, you are losing instead of gaining! Stay away from surgar, high fats and "BAD" carbs... eat lots of lean proteins and veggies! My Doc tells me I'm lucky because even 2 yrs post op (7-14-05), I still get dumping from eating surgar (I guess a blessing in disguise!) I joined "Curves" about 3 months after surgery and I know that helped, but I went 3-5 times a week. Don't give up...! Remember, this is a tool, not a fix all... If you want to talk my email is I only go online a few times a week, so please be patient with a response (if you respond).
Be there, it will happen! You will continue to lose... it may just take longer... we all have are own make-up, please don't give up. Just look at what your eating (and be honest!). Remember it's a tool, not a fix all... You will get there! I had a great result, but I had to learn the hard way!
Debbie
PS. It's also very important to take your vitamins and Iron (Trinsicon) and Vit B-12!
Don't panic, that's bad for us over eaters to do. Definitely try South Beach, that's what I follow and I love the options. My weight loss stalled too, but I wasn't exercising, and I was eating all day long. Last October I started taking metabolife, started walking and worked my way up to 5 miles EVERY day, and I follow South Beach. I had stalled at 208 pounds, down 102 fom my original 310 before surgery, and now I'm at 165 and wear a size 8. I would like to loose 10 more pounds, and I know I will. I still eat often,, but I make better choices now. You can do it too, just love yourself, and be good to you, but do what's right for you and your health. You can do it, start somewhere. It's not wrong to make a mistake, it's wrong to stop trying.
