Feeling down...Weight has STOPPED
I have lost about 92#. The weight had slowed to a crawl, now a complete stop. Okay I can live with being 5'5 and weighing around 170. Guess I was just hoping to finish atleast in the 160's. I keep losing the same 5 pound and gaining them back. I am going to the gym now and lifting weights. I keep telling myslef its all muscle-thats an excuse from the old (fat) days.
One good thing is I can wear a 10. No one beleives I weigh as much as I do. My TINY sister laughs knowing I can wear a 10 at 170, because her friend wears a 10 at less than 150! Anyone else find our wieghts are higher, but wear smaller sizes than others? Is there any hope that this weight loss will pick up again? I had hoped to be -100 at my 9 month check up, but its is apperantly a lot harder than I thought it would be.
Hi Elizabeth,
I can wear smaller sizes now than I did the last time I weighed this too. And everybody thinks I weigh a lot less than I actually do. That makes me feel good.
Have you been taking your measurements? When I get down about not losing like I want, it always helps to look at my inches lost. When I really got gung-ho about the gym my weight loss dwindled to almost nothing but I lost more inches in that month than I had previously. It really helped to boost my ego.

Hi Michelle, I had my surgery on July 3rd/4th but i'm only 4' 11" went from 211 now down to 120 lbs. I think for my height i'm doing ok. I wear a size 8 now was into the 12's for a long time now there baggy on me. It's still hard for me to believe i'm at this weight, but trust me i'm enjoying it just like everyone else. Your doing great i wish i was alot taller than i am but guess i will have to settle for this height. Good luck to you...

Just hang in there. I too hit that MAJOR plateau right at 90-92 pounds. I was so incredibly frustrated for about a month. I kept walking and trying my best to eat right, and then boom, today at my weekly weigh in, down 5.5 more pounds! I was so thrilled I went shopping, tried on jeans, and found out that although I hadn't lost weight for a month, obviously my body was still shrinking... I'd dropped another size.
There's still hope! Don't get discouraged. I still have 3 sizes and about 50 pounds to go. I'm not giving up yet.
Hey Elizabeth you look great and I encourage you to do measurments if you havn't. The months i lost only 5-7 pounds the inches were lost was amazing. Then the next month the weight loss numbers were more. I think our bodies need time to adjust and catch-up, the pounds/inches lost balance out as our shape changes. Most likely you wil start losing again. the months I felt that way I increased my protein intake and it did make a difference in the pounds lost the next week! Just a thought.
