weight loss has slowed way down
I was 6 months post op January 1st. I am down 116 pounds but have not loss anything for the past 3 weeks. I am eating around 1200 calories a day. I was wondering how many of you are eating at this point? Have you noticed your loss slowing down too? I am thrilled with my loss so far, but I still have at least another 60 to go. Do you think it is possible for me to make it?
Hi Stacie,
I'm doing the same thing. I have noticed that I am only losing weight the week after my period. The other 3 wks, I'm up a pound, down a pound, etc. I have another 42 lbs to go to my personal goal. Fortunately, we are only 6 mos into this and we still have another year to continue to lose. I have no doubt that either of us will be able to. We just have to stay positive!!!

Hi Stacie,
I to have noticed the weight loss slowing down. I am consuming around 700-800 calories a day. Have you joined a gym? Also increase your water and walk a lot more. You have to wake up that metabolism. I have lost 87 lbs since 7/28/03. I think your numbers sound great. Just think how much you would've lost if you were following a "regular" diet. Good luck to you---you will succeed!!!!
Hi Stacie,
I'm there with you sister! I haven't lost anything since the 9th. Gained 7#'s this past week with my period. That's come off so I'm hoping to see the scale move this next week. It seemed last month I hung in the 90's, zipped through the 80's and now have spent weeks in the 70's. NOT my idea of fun. While I've lost 128#'s, I have another 125 to go...minimum. I know I need to kick up the exercise. It's been so cold since Christmas, I haven't been getting in the exercise...and really hate mall walking. Guess I have to do something to get me over the hump and quit making excuses. I want to maximize this time as much as possible.
I was just checking out the before and after pictures. Check them out if you get a minute. Mine were just posted today. Of course it's not an "after" but an "in progress".
