Made it through the holiday

I just wanted to post and say that i lost 2 lbs over the holiday. I was shocked on Friday morning when i weighed myself. I cooked for Thanksgiving here at my house for my husbands family and the turkey was just the best if i do say so myself. I always cook my turkeys upside down(at first by accident) because they are so moist. The meat just sits in the juice and wow it is moist. This year i was so worried that i wouldn't be able to handle turkey i went the extra step and added chicken broth to the turkey and it made the best turkey, broth and gravy ever. I ate a lot of turkey and just a bite of other things and then had turkey leftover later that night. I was so scared I was going to gain, but to my surprise the next day down 2 lbs and have stayed down. YEAAA to me. I analized the situation and realize that I just don't eat enough daily. And especially enough protein. So I am refocusing on the protein and adding a few more calories to my daily number and see if this keeps working. i hope you all had a great holiday too. Amy - Congrats to you! What a wonderful feeling - huh? I am very proud of you. You were definately not one of the ones feeling guilty for eating too much this year!! Way to go! Neita
