Patra My surgery has gone very well. I am now a week out and I have lost 17 pounds since my surgery, and 29 pounds from when I started preparing for surgery. I am a little sorer than I thought it would be, but today it is quite a lot better. The food part was not that hard for me. I am having to work at drinking enough water. I will share one issue with you. I had my surgery on a Thursday went home Friday and Saturday morning work up starving. I was very upset, I thought I was not suppose to be hungry. I ate some jello still hungry, drank some water still hungry. I finally got frustrated and took two teaspoons of my pain medicine. Immediately I was no loner hungry. What was happening is that I could not distinguish from real pain and hunger pains. One I realized it was not hunger pain and took my medication I was OK. Since then I have been doing great. I walk two miles every day ( I feel the least pain when I am walking) and I am back at work part time. I very happy with my progress and feel dramatically better each day. Keep in touch.

Wow. You are moving fast. Interesting what you say about pain versus hunger pain. Although I don't have any pain left from surgery I do have to ponder whether what I am feeling in the tummy region is hunger. It just doesn't feel all that distinct any more. Funny, huh? It is easy not to eat because of this but I suspect my too low caloric intake may be causing my body to store rather then shead weight. Trying to get those numbers up. Glad you are doing so well. Can't believe you are working. Jacque
