Hi all, Had surgery on 7-15. I am back. Tired and aching but back. Not sure what to think of it all right now. Things were great in the hospital till they found out my epidural was not outtputing like it should so my pain managemant was behind schedual. Right now I can't say that I am in much pain but I do have a terrible "pulling" sensation around my incision. I think I have big gas bubbles but am not sure. I have to pass gas but can't really seem to. I am just so tired, much more tired then I ever thought I would be. I was thinking maybe it was from the pain killers but if I dont take them then I hurt more. Sort of a catch 22. I have already cut the dosage of pain killer in half. I dont think I can do more then that. I have had water, jello and popscils. I have not felt hungry yet, nor have I felt full. I am afraid I dont know what they feel like anymore. I need to walk a bit before I can lay down. I willpost more later.

I'm glad to hear that every thing went OK. The pain killers definately knock my butt out! I had surgery on the 14 th and am no longer on pain killers because I was Lap RNY. I feel so much better not taking them almost "normal" what ever that is. Pain killers also can constipate you and lack of movement and walking make it harder to pass gass. You do have a catch 22 there. Once you can easy off the pain killers you will start feeling much better. Good Luck Diane Koch
