Will July 21st ever get here?

Thats right, I am complaining!!!! I have been waiting since October of last year to have my surgery. Now its only 9 more days till surgery. I am nerveous, but excited. I have been trying to keep myself busy, but I can sleep, but I sure can eat right now. I have lost 40 pounds since I first seen my surgeon, but I know I have gain at least 14 back. Just thinking about not being able to eat like I use to after surgery. I have cleaned my house from top to bottom and now I am just sitting here waiting. I think it was a mistake to start counting down the days for me. That is all I am obessed with you can say. I can tell you I only have 5 days of work till I am off for 3 weeks to recover. I am determined not to be out any longer than 3 weeks. I have a great bunch of ppl at work. They are all excited for me, but some are like, you lost 40 pounds on your own, why do u need surgery? Of course that comes from the skinny ppl. I tell them I want this more than anything. I want to be healty, I want to be able to take my kids on a vacation. I want to be able to walk around without the pain on my knees. Am I asking to much? Sometimes I wonder if this is right for me. But I know what God is doing, if it wasn't meant to be then he could and would stop it at any time. I guess I will just sit here and hurry up and wait!!!! Dear Pamela, OMG I know how you feel.. I was suppose to have my surgery the first of July, then at 4:30 the afternoon of the June 30th,my insurance company's subsiduery sent my file to review for what was to be 30 days they said.. now mind you I had already had the offical word I was approved my the main group. I was there getting ALL of my pre-op test finished, and the last minute questions were answered , I was on a full liquid diet for 3 days and clear liquid diet for 2 days.I was to check into the hospital at 5:30AM.. then this happen to me, I was so devestated.. Then out of the BLUE I recieved the call Friday I am approved now for ALL OF THEM !!! I am to go in now at 8:30 AM the 21of July and surgery at 10:30 AM or there abouts, could be a bit earler.. SO now I have 9days till surgery.. SO I know how excieted you are about now.. I have been catching up all the laundry, dusting, going through cloths, and getting the linnens all changed on all the beds, so that they can be changed again before I leave for surgery next monday again. Which hospital are you going to ?? What time is your surgery ?? Who is your doctor ?? Please share with us so we can all sign your surgery page.. my surgen is with Dr.Brown in Denver .. And my surgery will be at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center ...

Careful what you wish for... I am kinda wishing I still had 9 days to go... For me, the long wait seems to have flown by, and it'll be monday before I know it! 7:30 am July 14 is my time of renewal and I am so worried that I wont have everything done and ready, or with me when I go to the hospital...And now, look, Saturday is gone... one more day, and a wake up... ~Cyndi

Hello Pamela! I am also having surgery next Monday. I'm right there with you! I'm anxious and also nervous that I won't know what to eat when I come home. I feel just like I did with my first baby! I can't wait until I lose that first 25 pounds and I can "breath" again. This past year, I have felt that no matter what I did, my stomach continues to grow. I look like I am 9 mos. pregnant! I am so bloated! I am afraid that as soon as they poke me, I am just going to blow and fly around the operating room! I kid you not! Lol! Best wishes to you for a smooth surgery and a rapid recovery! Good luck Pamela....it's right around the corner....and I am too...mines on the 24th....you've waiting longer then me, but waiting is waiting...I've felt your pain....keep posting, I'll be thinking of you!
