Surgery on Monday, July 14 @ 2:00

I will be righ along with you on monday. I go in to surgery at 10:30 am. Iam so excited that it is really going to happen. I can't wait to be the butterfly that emerges from this cocoon of fat. I cant wait to be able to fly! It is starting to settle in a little also and I am getting nervous/ I know every thing will be OK but what if it dosn't? Think of me as you enter the hospital , and say a prayer for me, I'll be just starting my journey at that time. Diane Koch Denver, CO.

I also am having surgery on July 14. I'll be going into the hospital at 5:15am CDT to have surgery at 7am. I too am nervous and anxious all at the same time. I'll be having open RNY with Dr. Klem at Central DuPage Hospital in Wilfield, IL (western suburb of Chicago).....Dawn

Marla, I'm going in on Friday. My favorite comment of late was from a fellow patient who told me that you are just one day closer to the Morphine! She described it as you go to sleep you wake up and get high, how bad is that? LOL -Mike

Hello Marla! You are going to do just fine! Those of us who have walked the life of an obese person are special and have so much to give. Our greatest gifts have been hidden by all the weight and we are so lucky to be living in an age of so many miracles. We have an opportunity to let others see and share that beauty. We are blessed to have this tool available to us. Don't worry about this being the end. This is going to be the first day of the rest of your life, truly!!! My prayers will be cheering you on all the way!!!!!!
