July 24 surgery date

Hi All, I'm getting closer to my date. Today is my last day to smoke, and yes I have been trying to quit, since my date was picked. Now I'm nervious about my surgery, I can't have a cigarette, my nervse are going to be shot. I hope by the time this is all done, that I'll be skinny, and smoke free. Man all my vices, have been taken away.

Hi, Bobbi-Jo. You are having surgery a day after me! I am going to be in Houston, Texas. Where will you be? Good luck with quiting smoking. I did that several years back, and am glad now! Hang in there...the reward will be worth it! Good luck!

I am also a July 24ther, and already packed my bag. I am not nervous about the surgery, but about getting everything ready at home and elsewhere. I still have a stress test this Thursday and once I am cleared by the cardiologist I am all set. Preops are Monay, I had to push them back to get in the stress test. I have PVCs, which usually do not mean anything, but they want to be safe and sure, fine by me. Good luck to all those who are coming up on their surgery dates and well wishes for all those past.
